Collection: Recliner Rockers

Rock, recline, put your feet up. These are the chairs you settle into after dinner and wake up in an hour later.

Every recliner rocker here pairs a smooth rock with a real recline: up to five positions, padded footrests or ottomans, and 360 degree swivel on some models. Thick high-density foam keeps its shape night after night, and frames hold up to 550 lb.

  • Recline from upright reading to a full lean back
  • Footrest or matching ottoman on most models
  • Chenille, corduroy, microfiber or wipe-clean faux leather

Buying guide

How to choose a recliner rocker

Measure for the chair fully open

A recliner needs more floor than its upright size suggests. The Hearthside stretches to 65 inches when fully reclined, The Carson to 63.8 inches, The Solace to 63.4 inches and The Scout to 60.6 inches. Measure from the wall to the nearest table or walkway, then compare.

Width varies a lot too. The Rowan and The Sedona are 23.6 inches wide and The Scout 28.7 inches. The Grandview and The Solace are close to 40 inches wide, so plan a full corner for them. Our rocking chair size guide shows how to measure.

Manual, power, swivel or massage

Manual rocking recliners are the simplest. The Sunday has five recline positions and The Slumber goes from 90 to 180 degrees. The Billow, The Hudson, The Rowan and The Sedona also rock and recline.

Power models recline with a motor: The Solace, The Grandview and The Everett. The Hearthside, The Solace and The Grandview add heat and massage, and The Hearthside and The Everett have USB charging. Nine chairs in this collection swivel, including The Scout, which turns a full 360 degrees.

Seat size and weight capacity

Check the listed weight capacity if it matters in your home. The Grandview, The Solace and The Everett are rated to 350 lb, The Carson to 330 lb, and The Hearthside and The Scout to 300 lb. The Grandview also has the widest listed seat, 21 to 24 inches, with a 20.2 inch seat height. Seat height also matters if standing up takes effort. The Bramble sits at 20.5 inches, while The Rowan sits low at 13 inches and suits lounging more than quick exits.

Upholstery and covers

The Sterling and The Brighton use faux leather, The Tucker uses microfiber, and The Hudson, The Rowan and The Slumber use corduroy. The Billow and The Sunday are chenille. If you want to wash the fabric, The Sunday has removable, washable covers, The Slumber and The Sedona are washable, and The Bramble has removable covers.

Which recliner fits your room

For a small bedroom or nursery, pick The Scout or The Carson. For long evenings with heat and massage, The Hearthside or The Solace. For a living room seat with an ottoman, The Tucker, The Sterling and The Brighton swivel, recline and come with one. For reading with your feet up, The Hudson rocks, reclines and has a footrest and side pockets.

Common questions

What is the difference between a recliner rocker and a regular recliner?

A recliner rocker lets you rock as well as lean back. The Tucker, The Sterling and The Brighton swivel and recline but are not listed as rockers, so check the Motion column on our comparison page before you choose.

How much space does a recliner rocker need?

Plan for the fully reclined length, not only the upright depth. Where we list it, reclined length runs from 40.2 inches on The Tucker to 65 inches on The Hearthside.

Which recliners have heat and massage?

The Hearthside, The Solace and The Grandview have heat and massage. The Solace and The Grandview are also power recliners.

Do you have a swivel rocker recliner?

Yes. The Carson, The Scout, The Hearthside, The Solace and The Everett swivel, rock and recline. The Scout turns a full 360 degrees.

What weight capacity do your recliners have?

Listed capacities are 350 lb for The Grandview, The Solace and The Everett, 330 lb for The Carson, and 300 lb for The Hearthside and The Scout. For other models, email support@mokyka.com.
